Stranasa Cottage

The Stranasa Cottage is located around 60km from Arad, on the Nadas ridge, where a beautiful panorama opens. It can be reached in several ways:

1.By car, starting from Arad to Deva, go 50km to Conop village; from there, turn to the left towards the center of the village on the valley of Conop river, climbing several serpentines up to the main ridge; after about 7km we descend in the valley of Nadas; at the intersection we turn right, leaving the main road. Going another 200m, we turn left, climbing to the ridge of Nadas, where, after another several hundred meters we reach the cottage.

2. By train to Conop station, followed by a 10km hike following the Red Triangle mark; or from Nadas train stop we follow the Yellow Line marking for about 10km.

3. By car, follow the Arad-Siria-Tarnova-Taut-Nadas route and continue on the main road (the only one) for another 7km on an unpaved road, before heading up to the main ridge; continue the road further 200m to the left, continuing with a climb to the ridge of Nadas; after that, in a few hundred meters we reach the cottage.

This route is practicable throughout the year, distance being approx. 75 km.

From the cottagewe can go through countless hiking trails and we can complete the "Circuitul Salaselor" circuit, which is the most pictoresque circuit in the Zarand Mountains; This is also a wonderful mountain biking trail.
